The practice nurses are available by appointment. They can help you with minor injuries, dressings, injections, removal of stitches and ear syringing. They can also advise you on a wide variety of health issues, but will refer you to the doctor if your condition requires it.

PHLEBOTOMISTS

The phlebotomists are trained in performing blood tests and are available by appointment on weekday mornings.

HEALTH TEAM ATTACHED TO THE PRACTICE

District Nurse - provides nursing treatment and advice to the housebound and patients recently discharged from hospital. Telephone 0141 812 3921.

Health Visitors - visit all families with children under 5 years old and the elderly. They provide information, advice and support to all age groups. Telephone 0141 812 5136.

Community Midwives - work with the doctor to provide care for mothers before and after delivery and care for the baby for the first fortnight of life.

The Macmillan Nurse - visits cancer patients in their homes and gives advice and support to their families.
